Dear {Firstname ? Firstname + " " + Lastname : 'Sir or Madam'},
Thank you for your support and loyalty over the past 12 months. I hope you are still enjoying your subscription. It has been an extraordinary year, and events around the world – from politics and elections to terror attacks and ‘fake news’ – continue to reminded us how important it is to offer high-quality journalism. As I hope you agree, The Independent’s values and our independence itself are needed more than ever.
I would also like to thank those who have offered us their feedback on The Independent Daily Edition. We read every comment and, wherever possible, we try to deliver what you want. I hope you’re enjoying your new monthly food magazine, Indy/Eats, as well as the extra longer reads, obituaries, new puzzles, TV listings, our Daily Miscellany and From The Archive features, and so on. We trust you keep sending us your thoughts and ideas, and hope you will enjoy the imminent return of, for instance, league tables and scoreboards in the sports section.
Your subscription is due for renewal next month. In order to continue using the app you do not need to change anything on your account. Please also accept one of the following gifts as token of our appreciation. Simply click on the link at the bottom of the email to make your selection. The e-books present the work of some of your favourite Independent writers, or perhaps you’d like to capture one of those news events from the past year with one of our front-page posters, and I hope to see as many of you as possible at the forthcoming Brexit debate.
