SIMEON HARRIS
MUSIC MANAGEMENT
Nkhanise Phiri, 24, is a digital strategist with a passion for social and video. After completing digital marketing internships Nkhanise is now hoping to refine her skills by helping out our small businesses.
She says: “Sometimes young people are treated as if you don’t have much to offer.”
“I think businesses feel like they have to have their hand on everything, but you have to be very consistent with how much you upload your voice and your brand.”
Simeon Harris, 21, started his own music management company at 18. He specialises in using social media to promote businesses. He wants to work with young people towards social mobility: “We need to talk about what we can do to create a sustainable scheme where we are trying to nurture these young people from an impoverished background and upskill them in technology.”
Simeon hopes that his brand of honest social content will prove a hit with the business he is paired with.

Sam Wallis, 18, recently finished his college education and is co-founder of Midas Marketing.
Noticing how “controlling and addictive” Instagram can be, Sam set about using social media as a tool for marketing and making money. He says: “People respond better to visual cues. They don’t have to create their own picture in their head, they can understand what the product looks like immediately.”

COMPANY CO-FOUNDER
Hisham Dalton, 18, is co-founder of Midas Marketing with Sam.
He says: “We were just sitting about with our mums, and they were asking basic questions about stuff on their phones, which was natural knowledge for us. So we thought every adult could benefit from the knowledge. We want to help the UK develop digitally.”
He hopes to grow Midas Marketing internationally to help other countries in need of digital help.

Thalia Fairweather, 21, is a journalism student. She wants to work in digital content creation after a copywriting internship.
She says: “I like taking time to research and plan, and then be creative.
“It’s just the way my mind works.”
“The businesses could really benefit, and I’m ready to try anything they throw at me.”
The key thing she wants to work on with the businesses is digital confidence.
“Once you have a certain set of skills, you can branch out, and it’s much easier to gain more.”

CONTENT CREATOR
Raymond Ukwenya, 25, started working in a PR agency straight from school. Since then he has worked on several influencer projects.
He says: “The most important thing is figuring out what is right for the business, and what they can afford to do to get the most kind of impact. Video is not for everyone. Nor social media, so it’s about deducing what’s right for them.”
